The Cultural Resources Group at EcoPlan includes archaeological, historical, and architectural specialists and a variety of technical analysts who provide historic preservation services as required by Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, the Archaeological Resources Protection Act, Section 4(f) of the U.S. Department of Transportation Act, the Arizona Antiquities Act, and other state and local cultural resource regulations in the western United States. EcoPlan’s archaeologists have extensive field, laboratory, and regulatory experience. These specialists are trained in technological applications in archaeology, including the integration of precision Global Positioning and Geographic Information Systems. Our in-house history specialists conduct historical and ethnographic studies to identify important events, people, styles, land uses, and cultural areas. Our in-house architectural team specializes in researching and evaluating historic buildings, structures, and historic districts.
